bio: 

as a child, yuniji was scouted by an idol agency for his skilled performances at school and extracurricular events. yuniji is a part of the “stardust” idol group, and his idol persona comes off as charismatic, upbeat, and fun! while yuniji is quite upbeat outside of his idol work, he is constantly pressured by his agency to change himself in drastic ways so that his public image will look good. with this, yuniji used to be and sometimes continues to be self-conscious about his looks, actions, and especially his voice. during these times, he’d distance himself from people and avoid putting himself out in the media or standing out. 

yuniji often gets his frustrations with the idol business and his self-consciousness out via streaming for himself on twitch, where many people watch him play various video games with other members of stardust, his friends outside of work, and other streamers. yuniji also posts his personal music on his youtube channel. these channels helped him put himself out there and learn to be okay with himself (mostly), as he often has collabs with people he doesn’t know.

along with learning how to be less self-conscious, yuniji put more of himself out in the world. moments where yuniji would’ve shut his mouth and kept quiet are now moments where he cracks jokes. meetups he would’ve made up an excuse to skip are places where he shines. yuniji has come to accept that he can’t change the messed up idol system, so he learns to embrace it.
