Being somewhat of a recluse, Gillus mostly stays to himself. Only coming out of his tree in search of bits and bobs, various mechanical parts or anything he could find a use for. And maybe to say hi to his neighbors if he sees them. Maybe.
He spends a lot of his time building...things. No one's sure what they are! He'll shoo you away before you even have time to examine one of his gizmos up close.
But things began to change for him when his neighbor, Ms. Fieldmouse, introduced him to the most peculiar young lady! Fieldmouse had asked him if Thumbelina she could stay with him, for she would be too busy planning her upcoming wedding to look after her! At first, he declined, but soon persuaded by her sob story to let her stay for "-a TINY bit". After some long conversations about "crushes" and "marriage" Thumbelina had Maybe resurfaced an old, forgotten crush... or two... Much to her surprise, Gillus admitted that, a long time ago, he might have secretly liked Mr Mole... AND Ms Fieldmouse! Just a little. But oh, he didn't have time to laze around feeling things, there was work to be done!
