Story: Artie comes from an honest family life, they're the child of the previous owner of the travelling circus and one of the acrobats. They grew up on the rails and moving from place to place as the circus moved to bring joy all over. Artie eventually inherited the circus, becoming its manager and one of its ring leaders.
They could never dream of being anything other than circus! The other performers, and animals are their family, and they care for them fiercely. Artie always makes sure everyone has exactly what they need to be comfortable and happy.
Other: No one knows what Artie's actual gender is, as they have an androgynous wardrobe (a very flashy one, but still androgynous) but none of their circus family as ever questioned it. Gender isn't important to put on a good show.
Knows quite a few circus tricks thanks to living their entire life in one!
