Kind, hearty, headstrong. Ascal' is a demon of sorts, born of the ever-birthing Echidna, he along with his brother Damian are the most intelligent that have come from the womb of the monster-bearer, mostly they are considerably mindless, but Ascal was one of few born with a proper capacity for self-awareness and intelligence. He was bred with a purpose, to serve in the king's royal guard in a kingdom called Avingard, originally founded and built by Paladins to act as a safe-house of sorts for the travelling warrior of light who swore to rid the tainted lands of the evil that squandered there. The ruler during the time Ascal lived in Avingard had foregone the holy laws put in place, he bred with Echidna the demon-barer, having her produce hellish offspring of his own, that he raised and put to use as his own personal royal guard, Ascal happened to be one of them! The king was later overthrown when a war was waged on the city, with his father and king slain, Ascal took to the life of a venturing wanderer, never staying in one place too long, and exploring the untold wonders of the world.
