Ira

Introduction

A young wood elf from the Enchanted Forest, who held captive by humans and forced to work as a dancer at Goldenleaf Inn. Being talented at illusion magic, he has conjured spectacles that have enthralled countless patrons, earning him a reputation as the town's famous "Flame Dancer". However, his true abilities, his powerful fire magic, lie dormant, having been suppressed by his captors. 

While he acts like a spunky brat most of the time, he is fearful of his human captors or of cruel humans in general. He longs for freedom and adventure, but lacks the courage to even attempt to escape by himself. He hasn't given up hope, however, and dreams of a day when he may be rescued. 

On the flip side, he isn't even sure what he wants out of freedom. Having lost his family and village to hunters, he no longer has a home to return to. Nevertheless, he isn't beaten down by the bad hand fate has dealt him and dislikes dwelling in the past.

Personality

Feisty and outgoing, Ira makes for a rather talkative companion one can easily befriend. Having spent his entire life in the Enchanted Forest before he was taken by humans,  he is somewhat ignorant about the outside world and appears a little naive. Moreover, he has a couple of childish inclinations, such as a love for stuffed animals and distaste for green vegetables.

He has a tendency to be extremely dependent on others, lacking confidence in his own abilities. He believes himself to be weak and useless in part due to his failure to protect his village. While he generally appears to be cheerful, the events of his past have shaken him deeply and he struggles to move on from his grief, choosing to brush his problems off with humor. 

He craves adventure and excitement, desiring to explore the world, but fears the harsher aspects of reality. Despite that, he is determined to become a stronger person and to stand on his own two feet. 

Trivia

• Before he was taken by humans, Ira lived in his village with his parents and his older brother, Eres. He worked as a cook at the local restaurant, thus he has pretty good culinary skills. On the other hand, that means he is rather picky when it comes to meals. He dislikes bland food, but also hates food with an overly strong taste.
• His hobbies involve slacking off, exploring new places and dancing (but not for an audience).
• He channels his fire magic through a fire gem, but he doesn't actually need a conduit to use his magic. He just believes that he does, resulting in him being unable to cast spells without the gem.
