Olive's Links
Olive remains a bit awkward around small kids, but darn, if Cayenne doesn't think he's the coolest thing. Through both Elemyn and Caerwyn, Ollie spends a lot of time around the kid, and likes to read him his drafts, which Cayenne solemnly approves of.
Looks up to him - he can write amazing, and his best friend is Elemyn, which means he's automatically super cool!
Doesn't like her very much, but she's been nicer to him lately, so maybe they can be friends again?
Has recognised that she was a bit mean to him, and is trying to work on improving their relationship.
Blames himself for the split in their relationship, and is desperately trying to reconnect with her. His guilt has led him to be a bit emotionally volatile around the subject, however, and he wishes that she'd reciprocate his desire to patch things up a bit.
Misses when her older brother was actually nice to her more than she'd like to admit. Wren developed a strong sense of resentment and anger towards her brother when he wasn't there for her during a difficult period of her life, and as such has shut herself off from his attempts to communicate.
Cares about his uncle a lot, and is deeply appreciative for all the kindness and patience he's shown towards him (and also for all the books he's lent him).
Fond of his technically-nephew! Thinks he needs to have more confidence in himself and his writing.
Frequently catches sight of the viridescent darter at the library, and has worked up the courage to talk to him a couple times. Elemyn once caught them mid-conversation once, and, upon the departure of Pistachio, remarked that she really needed to work on Olive's flirting skills. Olive denied any desire for romantic involvement with Pistachio, and later caught himself thinking about the scribe's eyes again. Oh dear.
Enjoys what conversation he has with the skimmer, and has more than half a mind to try and spark a friendship between them - maybe invite him out sometime? He looks like he needs a few more friends.
