WTA Entry:
Genevieve, or Gen as she prefers to be called, works two jobs to be able to afford her apartment in the city. Though the money stretches a bit tight, she find's it's worth being away from her eccentric (but loving) family and getting a chance to explore herself. The first job she picked up is at a hair salon. She spent most of her high school years doing hair for her friends and family members, so she was able to pick it up and past the tests pretty easily. She loves her coworkers, especially the other part timer, ᴅɪᴇʀᴅʀᴇ , but she finds that the clients really wear on her nerves. Her second job is more of a freelance thing that's she's still testing out, but she's doing pretty well. It's primarily modeling and doing makeup tutorials through instagram and other social media. She likes the freedom of it, but she's never really been the best at staying organized, so trying to keep after herself to get her work done is a bit tough.
Work aside, Gen has a few hobbies. She loves big dogs, but her apartment won't let her have one, so she likes to volunteer at animal shelters to walk the big boys <3 (She's stronger than she looks). She has a weird obsession with finding new smoothie places and trying everything one their menu one by one, which has led to a few really great discoveries, and a few really gross ones. She also likes to go out with friends, but since she hasn't been in the city for a super long time, she still doesn't have much of a crowd to hang out with. This leaves her spending a lot of Friday nights on the couch with cheap wine and netflix, but she doesn't hate it.
Gen's past wasn't anything too exciting, and though her family is a bit high strung, they're all generally good people. Her mom owns a knick-knack store and her dad plays in a somewhat decent classic rock cover band. She struggled a bit in high school because she had a hard time focusing in class and a tendancy to forget her homework until the last moment, but her friend ʟᴇɪɢʜ helped her study enough to graduate. Though she doesn't see Leigh much anymore, they're still pretty good friends. Gen has a little brother that she loves, despite having nothing in common with him.
Gen's style came from several things, from her band preferences growing up to her friends. Her favorite band to this day is AFI (DecemberUnderground is the best album and she will fight you) and she finds it easiest to bond with new people over mutual music interests.
Her first tattoo was the skull flower, which was kind of an impulsive thing because she really just wanted to get a tattoo since she was finally legal. She just thought it looked cool. The apple is for her favorite movie, Snow White, which she would watch on repeat as a kid. The kitty in a heart is for her childhood cat MooMoo, and the Medusa tattoo was an idea she had that a good friend drew up for her. She's still not really sure what it means, but she loves it.
