She left home, not wanting to be married off to someone she didn't care about. She wanted to have experiences elsewhere and find what she really wanted out of the world, by her own choice and outside of the expectations and pressure of others.

She has an older brother named Sahil who she looks up to a lot. She pretends to not know why he dislikes her, but is fully aware that he views her as the favored child due to her inherent magical affinity. She feels it isn't fair to judge her for it. Growing up she had a heavy burden placed on her to be perfect, something she stresses about constantly and grows incredibly upset with herself over if she doesn't preform well enough.
