Nina Davis lives with her grandmother in (Placeholder). Mostly filled with merfolk, humans and half elves. Her father is no longer present in her life and her mother died due to cancer. Her mother had a garden open to the public, it had many Japanese plants. Her and her mother favorite being the cherry blossom tree. While living with her grandmother she would visit the garden, however she soon found the garden to be vandalize. All the flowers dead and broken. Nina‘s Grandmother start created a mini garden to cheer her up. She also starts teaching her what she knows about nature magick. Something that ran in her family but was forgotten. Her grandmother soon fell sick too however she tries to hide from Nina to not make her worry. Her grandmother urge Nina to go learn magick from magical creatures or a magic school. Her grandmother sent her to the boarding school Willow Creek.

Nina is helpful to a fault. Her father not being present and her mother being sick cause her to be selfless, caring for others, and allowing others to vent to her. She puts people above her. She’s what holds the friend group together and the “therapist“ friend. However she has trouble asking for help. Nina is not scared or shy of not getting something right away, rather she fears letting people down and the idea of not being able to help others. Making a promise or telling someone she’s going to do something means a lot to her, and when she doesn’t do it or fails, it would weigh on her negativity.
Life at school
She’s the person everyone knows, She’s very helpful and people see her as reliable. However people don’t seem to care how shes doing because she always has a smile. She’s apart of the student government not as president but to help raise funds for school-wide activities, including social events and community projects. She‘s the person to resolve conflict between her peers and introduce and show the new kid around. Nina doesn’t consider anyone her enemy. Nina finds enjoyment and pride in helping others yet isn’t confident in her own abilites.
