He is constantly tired, suffering from hypersomnia. He was said to have narcolepsy for as long as he could remember, but it was a misdiagnosis. He almost never takes off his sleeping mask anywhere other than school, and has grown to view it as his comfort item. He simply tries to get through days the best he can, and his teachers try their best to make up for his issues, but in the end, he can do nothing to help the problem.
