RSE/ORAS: Alyssa

Pokémon OC from the Hoenn Region.

Alyssa's parents were the founders of Devon Corp. The Stone family supported them and they became partners, electing Mr. Stone to be the President. Years later, Mr. and Mrs. Devon die in an accident. But they had prepared a secret will with the Stone family. Stating that the Stone Family would take over Devon Corp upon their death, as long as their son, Steven married their only daughter, Alyssa. And the Stone family ensured the safety of Alyssa.

Alyssa is now in an arranged marriage with Steven Stone. The Stone family provides her with everything she needs. But she is unhappy.
(Figure out when and why she moves to Lilycove? Moved there before her parents death? Or after? To get distance from her arranged marriage? Ect.)

She attempts suicide by walking off of a cliff in Lilycove City.

Archie rescues her. 

Rain continued to pour in Lilycove City. It had been raining almost non-stop for two weeks now. Alyssa stepped out from her small home, her Absol walking faithfully by her side. She made her way to the place the locals dubbed, Lilycove Peak. It was the highest land area in Lilycove with a beautiful view of the sea. But it was also a dangerous cliff with rocks and rough water below.

Alyssa looked out to the sea, careful to keep her eyes off the treacherous rocks below, less she lose her nerve. Alyssa took a breath to steady herself and turned to give her Absol a pat on the head. She closed her eyes and took a step forward, sending her body dropping off the cliff. She felt as though she were floating for a few mere moments before gravity took it's full effect, throwing her down towards the unforgiving ocean below. She faintly registered hearing her Absol's shocked cries from above.

Suddenly a pair of strong arms caught her. "What the hell do you think you are doing?!" If I hadn't been here at this exact moment, you would be dead!" A harsh voice yelled at her.

Opening her eyes she came face to face with Team Aqua's Leader, Archie. That much she knew, Team Aqua had been causing enough trouble in Lilycove lately, not to mention their hideout was only a short distance away from the beaches. Archie was standing on a Sharpedo, waiting for her reply.

Brought out of her shock she found her voice, "Let go of me!" She yelled, "I know full well what I was about to do." Alyssa tried to sound as sane as a person who just jumped from a cliff could.

"This is thanks to the person who just saved your scrawny little ass? I think you need to cool your head!" Archie said, dropping her into the water, careful to avoid any rocks.

Alyssa swallowed a good amount of sea water, shocked by his sudden actions. She frantically grasped at the water, she didn't know how to swim. She had been ready to die only minutes before. Maybe it wasn't quite her time.

Archie's face turned from anger to confusion as he saw the girl flailing in the water. His Sharpedo realized before he did, offering her a fin to grab on to. The girl held on for dear life, violently coughing up sea water. "Girl, don't you even know how to swim?" Archie asked, halfway joking. The girl turned her head, but not before Archie could see her face tinge pink. "You really don't know how to swim!" Archie erupted in laughter.

He was laughing at her. She just nearly died, twice. And he had the nerve to laugh at her. "Asshole." She muttered under her breath. Suddenly she was roughly yanked out of the water by her arm.

"Care to repeat?" Archie said, a dangerous look on his face. She didn't say anything. Archie sighed, "What's your name?" He said, trying to turn the conversation. There was still no response from the girl. "My name is Archie." She still ignored him. Archie lost his composure as quickly as he had gained it back. "I'm trying to be nice here! What the hell is your name?" He yelled, reaching into her pockets.

What the hell was he doing?! Alyssa tried to push him away to no avail. He pulled something out of her pocket.

He found what he was looking for, her Trainer ID. He scanned it quickly. "Lyssa, huh?"

Alyssa tensed. Who did he think he was... talking to her on such familiar terms. "My name is Alyssa!" She emphasized her full name.

Archie finds out she is engaged to Steven and kidnaps her. They begin to grow mutual feelings for each other and eventually Archie releases her.

"Archie! Release my fiancée!" Steven yelled.
"Your fiancée." The words rolled bitterly from Archie's tongue, "Do you even know anything about her? Do you know how unhappy she is?"
"Archie!" Alyssa warned.
"Did you know she tried to kill herself?"
Steven is shocked. Alyssa is mad at Archie for telling Steven.

Eventually is returned to Steven's care. He watches over her very protectively, Archie having revealed her suicide attempt. She pretends to put on a "happy" act for a time. Until the wedding draws close. She realizes that she loves Archie more than she could ever love Steven. She is unable to go through with the wedding and runs away.

Received Absolite from Steven as an engagement present. Wears her keystone as a custom Mega Bracelet.
Wears a Team Aqua bandana around her wrist under her Mega Bracelet, often the Team Aqua logo is facing inward so it appears to be just a blue banana.

Alyssa has a LARGE stubborn streak when it comes to Archie. They bicker so often that when Team Aqua grunts see them start to quarrel they come up with any excuse under the sun to get away from the epicenter of the argument.

Archie's Pokemon all have a great fondness towards Alyssa. Often prompting Archie to comment that they've 'forgotten who their trainer is'.
Later in their relationship, when they share a bed, the canine-like Pokemon (Absol and Mightyena) often snuggle in at the food of the bed. If Alyssa gets up in the middle of the night for some fresh air, Absol and Mightyena will both perk up instantly and follow her.
Archie: "Great... Left alone in the bed... Again."
Alyssa often has a need to clear her mind and get a little distance from others. She's not used to the levels of trust and intimacy she shares with Archie. If Alyssa doesn't return to bed after about 20 minutes or so Archie will go looking for her, often finding her sleep in the moonlight, Absol and Mightyena curled by her side. Archie will sit next to her, gently repositioning her head to rest on his lap and draping blankets to cover them from the cool night air and doze off next to her.

• Alyssa's main partner. With her through thick and thin.
ZsaZsa the Zigzagoon♀
• Alyssa's first Pokemon. Was a gift from her parents.
Sev (Seven) the Mightyena♂
• A Poocheyena belonging to Team Magma that participated in the battle at Mt. Chimney but was severely injured. Alyssa nurses it back to health and even though it was previously under the ownership of Team Magma is now completely loyal to Alyssa and the kindness and love she shows him. Was only referred to by the number "Seven". Alyssa affectionately calls him "Sev". Sev is VERY protective of Alyssa. Knows Fire Fang.
Azumarill♀
• A cute and fitting water-type for an "honorary" member of Team Aqua.
Togekiss♀ ()
• In unused Trainer data from Sapphire Version Archie had a Level 17 Togetic. It would be cute for Alyssa to have a Togekiss as a nod to that data.
/Bandit the Sharpedo♂ (& Mega Sharpedo)
• On loan from Archie. High leveled to protect Alyssa in emergency situations. Also provides transportation across water.

ZuZu the Galarian Zigzagoon♂
• Brought into the family once they move to the Galar Region. Has a lot of energy. ZsaZsa has calmed down and is older in age, but still acts very motherly towards the younger Zigzagoon.

Other things to think about:
• Relationship with the Stones. Especially Mrs. Stone. Mrs. Stone always put a lot of pressure on Alyssa learning to be a suitable wife for Steven. "Learning to be a lady"
Alyssa had her Absol from before her parent's accident? But after being taken in by the Stones, Mrs. Stone discouraged any further ambition to be a Pokemon Trainer, instead having her focus on other studies.
• Archie finds out who Alyssa is and her relationship to Steven due to Shelly recognizing the name and noting "the engagement has been in all the tabloids" and Archie decides to kidnap Alyssa.
• What is Alyssa's ambition in life after gaining "freedom" from her old life and ending her arranged marriage.
• Better explore Alyssa's depression and why she is so unhappy. Parent's death, arranged marriage, lack of "freedom" in her life, pressure to live her life according to what everyone "expects" of her.
• Archie x Alyssa scene paralleling Jack and Rose from Titanic.
"I know what you must be thinking. Poor little rich girl, what does she know about misery?"
"No, no that's not what I was thinking. What I was thinking was, what could have happened to this girl to make her feel she had no way out?"
• What items does Alyssa have with her when she jumps/is kidnapped. Does she just have what's in her pockets/wearing? Like trainer ID, Mega Bracelet ect. Or does she have her full trainer bag with her? Like Absol's Pokeball? Or does Absol usually just roam freely with Alyssa? The Pokeball is kept at home. Later when Steven goes to investigate Alyssa's disappearance he checked to see if Absol is in the Pokeball but it is empty. He is slightly relieved thinking Absol must be with Alyssa then.
Absol runs down to the beach after Archie catches Alyssa. Absol goes with Alyssa when she is kidnapped.
• Shelly used to work at the Devon Corp. Maybe that's how she knows who Alyssa is?
• Figure out stuff with Tasha. How they meet. How they interact. What the time line for this stuff is ect ect ect ect. Just lots of planning with Tasha!
