Hinami Hagino (萩の日並, Hagino Hinami) is a supporting character in Wave!! She is a good friend and supporter of the Namanori Surfers, and is a surfer as well.
Appearance
Hinami is a young, feminine girl with a slim figure, short curly red hair kept neat by her iconic pink ribbon headband and turquoise eyes. She wears a pale-pink short-sleeved coat over a light blue dress that resembles a sailor fuku with white frills at the bottom, white socks, and light-blue Mary-Jane shoes. She wears a frilly pink polka-dotted bracelet on her left hand.
Personality
A graceful and feminine girl from a wealthy family, Hinami is generally dreamy and outgoing. Her cheerful and bubbly attitude makes her easy to talk to. Despite being rich, she is by no means the typical spoiled princess and is shown to be very sweet, accepting and considerate to commoners and high-class individuals alike. She is greatly empathetic and possesses a great level of understanding, which makes her excellent at giving advice and boosting her friends' morale.
While she's not completely the haughty princess type, she is mildly spoiled and a bit of a "valley girl." Hinami has this habit of blurting out her overactive imaginations whenever she's paranoid or nervous, hinting that she may have some shades of anxiety. She is still naive about commoners' lifestyles, but sometimes this naivete of hers can cause her to be finicky and over-dramatic. Hinami can be quite pretentious at times, particularly when it comes to her well-being and appearance.
Flaws aside, Hinami is an open-minded and lively girl who is very supportive of her friends and is greatly loyal to them.

History
Her family owns a fancy restaurant chain called Fancy Delights that cater luxurious food to both rich and commoner class individuals alike. Hinami participated in ballet and rhythmic gymnastic classes, but has since taken a small break. She moved to Ooarai for a simpler lifestyle, and is currently residing alongside her grandmother and cousin Hitoka. One day while exploring the beach, she saw three men surfing- and felt so stunned by the way they moved across the waves-- this inspired her to be interested in surfing.
She enrolled in a local high-school, where she also happened to be in the same class as the three men she saw were surfing. They introduced themselves as Masaki, Sho and Nalu, and quickly befriended them.
