Masayuki

Masayuki is a yokai or beast called a bakeneko. He grew up with his clan, deep in the woods and secluded from the rest of society. Therefore, he had never interacted with humans and has only ever been around his clan members. He was taught to never trust humans as they view them as tainted creatures. Since avoiding humans, Masayuki doesn't know what it's like to live like one. He had spent the majority of his life living in his yokai form, and as a result, fails to understand humans and their emotions and ways of living.

When Masayuki was just a young boy spending his childhood days with his clan, a mysterious fire started which led to war between other yokai clans. The unfortunate event left Masayuki with nothing but remnants of what used to be his village. Everything burnt out and there were no survives. Thus, Masayuki had no option but to leave his home and find another place he could belong.

When in human form, he has to be careful not to expose himself to other humans since he still has his ears and tail in that form. Masayuki spent the majority of his life as a cat, which means that even as a human, he is cat-like. He still has some cat mannerisms like being aloof and sometimes distancing himself; he is also pretty defensive. Masayuki's typically curious about his surroundings and is willing to learn new things.
