Backstory

Hi, my name's Jet and I'm a victim of the Evolved Biotics and Integrated Genetics Corp. Well, they weren't responsible directly but their external facilities doing clone testing definitely were. I’m 23 years old, supposedly, though I've only had my feet on the ground for 5 years. The first 2 years I was struggling with identity issues and individuality. I had to live under the facilities care for 6 months before I got leave papers signed, it wasn't horrible but it wasnt great either. At that point in my life I was very confused and curious, Dr. Anderfall made sure to inform me on important things I should know and performed some evaluations with me.

I’m not the first clone ever made and I'm certainly not the last. ‘’A miracle of science!’’ Is all I ever hear from people. Everyone treats my being a clone as a good, fun, exciting thing. No one ever thinks about how horrible it is for ME and what I have to go though. There's always an influx of questions from those unfamiliar with cloning procedures, I hate repeating it over and over again so I’ve started to shut down conversations when it comes up. Understanding that while they were not traumatic memories, they were damaging for me as a ‘’person’’ is something nobody seems to grasp. I never got to experience childhood, my individuality is robbed from me, I didn’t get the privilege of having a family and to top it all off; I keep getting mistaken on legal documentation for Laddael Cinder.

Laddael is my DNA origin, he’s a rich city boy who's never had to work a day in his life. He signed up for the clone program on the promise of a 1000 dollars for being a viable lab rat, not that he needed it. The guy lives in a massive house with his mother, Olivia Cinder and his father, Francis Cinder. Laddael is the one who signed my leave papers for me and let me stay at his house with him for the remainder of the year. It was mental health kamikaze living with a better version of you, we kept doing the same things and finding the same interests. Despite him always being nice, offering to give me advice and help on anything I needed, I was bitter. I cut my hair short.

The following year I made the impulsive decision to enroll for a piloting course on mechs to spite our similarities. The college let me in on a scholarship due to my skills exceeding their expectations. I excelled through the 3 years and was top of my classes. There, I met someone I could finally call a friend, her name is Adrian Price. She had a lot of guts, always calling me out on my bullshit and reassured me on some of my insecurities. We’d go out for dinner sometimes and she’d bring her girlfriend, it was nice.

Present Day

Once I had graduated we had our final public viewing show, lots of businesses would attend these and hire students for work the second they're out. Adrian got picked up as a mechanic which was something she was really excited about, I was happy for her. Due to my grades being exceptional I got many offers from different places but one stuck out the most. One from THE Ember Wetherly, if you don't know who she is then you're living under a rock. She’s crazy famous! But that wasn’t why I chose to be her team’s ace, while the idea of fame can be thrilling for some and that it offers some of that sweet individuality pie, It's not for me. I don't like being in the spotlight like that. I joined Strike Force Chimera because of its location, facilities and system.
