Switchblade

Species: Mixed Breed Pigeon (Lucerne Goldcollar/Homer)

As a young bird still living on her family’s flock, Switchblade went by the name of Windy. She watched hawk attacks happen regularly and grew increasingly tired of watching the pigeons trying to clumsily fly away instead of taking charge and fighting back. She broke away from the flock and taught herself the ways of survivalists, picking up tools and supplies from a local campground she discovered. From there she started seeking out birds of prey to take down. She changed her name to Switchblade after her favorite weapon to use.

It was on one of these missions of hers that she spotted a peregrine falcon attacking a brilliant blue bird. Switchblade fought off the falcon, and the chatterbox blue bird, who was a magpie-jay named Juniper, followed her around from then on. Switchblade didn’t totally appreciate her presence at first but Juniper gave her something to protect other than herself and therefore a bit more purpose, which she grew to appreciate. After a while, Freesia also joined the group, and the three continue to fight birds of prey that threaten other birds of the countryside.
