Once upon a time, the Raven Queen cursed some wicked wizards to live as scavanging vulture — the nagpa — unable to acquire power or knowledge unless it was plucked from ruin. Well, those old birds managed to have a few children along the way, and unlike their dear old grandbirds, not all of them resent the Raven Queen.

Loyal to the Matron of Ravens, Aurk serves as one of her Memory Collectors. He finds ancient relics of importance and lore and brings them to a place of safety and rememberance in her Fortress of Memories. Good, honest work for an heir to the nagpa.

But Aurk's latest mission out in the Sea of Fallen Stars has put him in regular contact with some underworld sorts of the thieving kind and now he's starting to get some ideas. There are all kinds of artifacts locked away in personal collections and museums, gathering dust and being forgotten. What if he rescued those memories?

Aurk cuts a powerful image — grand wings, sharp talons, a clever beak, and scarlet feathers. It's hard to overlook him in a crowd. But as a monk of the Raven Queen, he dresses simply in black robes, delicately ornamented in reverence of the Matron. Spending more effort in making sure his feathers are perfect, the only notable trinket he wears is a silvered raven skull.
