Aurum had hatched in Aitsua with her parents (that need names. um. smile). She was their first and only child, growing up surrounded by the plants her mother studied for a living. She latched onto her mother's interest pretty early on, the two of them doing research together, even as Aurum was still pretty young. She learned how to read earlier than lavalings her age did, and learning how to write a few months afterward. She used to be read her mother's textbooks as makeshift 'bedtime stories', the content of which was simplified to the point where she could easily understand. She was still a baby. Babies don't really know what a mitochondrion is. Or why it's even there in the first place. Unfortunately, Aurum's parents did eventually split up. They felt as if they worked better as 'just friends' and are still on good terms with each other. Which is perfectly fine, Aurum adjusted to the change well, even if she thought it was confusing. And scary, although she never knew how to express her fear. After all this time she still doesn't really understand how, but she's feeling much better about it than she did before. Aurum's mother eventually found a job opportunity if Florya at an agricultural engineer. Aurum decided to move out of Aitsua with her, excited to be surrounded by more plants than she could imagine. She still visits her father and friends in Aitsua every few months, staying at her dad's house for a few weeks and then coming back home.

Procyaur and Aurum first met when she lived in Aitsua, and ever since she moved they havent gotten to hang out as much as they used to. However they still get to catch up with eachother and play when she goes to visit her father every so often. They mainly talk about their interests, sharing facts about fossils and plants that they think the other would like. Once, Procy showed her what a carnivorous plant was, and she about lost her mind. When they aren't sharing their thoughts theyre running around and exploring around the salt lake that Procyaur lives by. She hopes that one day, she can take Procyaur to Florya so they can see all of the sites and monuments. Maybe theyll even find some bones for them to look at!
Aurum has seen Dante every so often at Florya's lampery when he and Firebolt come to visit. She always thinks he looks rather downcast, so she always makes an effort to say hello. Dante is a kid of few words, so they dont really talk much together, but Aurum always appreciates what he has to say. Its always... interesting? She can barely understand it but she listenes intently, no matter what hes talking about. Just as long as he doesnt say anything /too/ scary.

- Her coordination isnt the best, and she's relatively clumbsy. She'll try to run as fast as her little legs can take her and absolutely eat it. She's having an outstanding time
