- Her mother and Bruce had a fling in the past, considered close friends before they became friends with benefits; when her mother passed, Marian was adopted by Bruce as a show of respect for her deceased mother, she was in her early teens

- Marian specializes in stealth and espionage, which has her often going undercover as any and all persons but her true self so she tends to wear a mask around most people
