Lawrence Sengo also known as Shonen is a student in class 1-B at U.A High Academy. He is currently training to become a pro hero while spreading anime references wherever he goes. AppearanceLawrence is a young male with messy blonde hair. Hes lanky in physical appreance with him over the course of the series grows leaner. He has green eyes and always wears a bright smile on his face. Lawrence often has a unique hat on, which is a replica of Jotaro Kujo's hat, his normal attires often consists of anime themed outfits and standard pants or shorts. His Hero outfit consists of a lavender dress shirt, a blue overcoat with a black cape. On his chestis a sash with logos of various anime series. He wears black pants with red and black boots on. PersonalityLawrence is very vibrant and loud, acting immature like your typical teenager. He has a love for all things anime, and tends to take off different fighting styles to look flashy and catch the crowd's eye. If he messes up though, he quickly regains his composure and tries once again! Lawrence though, will smarten up and become serious if a situation heightens to a do or die moment. Alas, this is a rare occurrence, one that even shocks Lawrence after the event. Lawrence is very much willing to put his life on the line to be a hero as he finds that he would be disappointing himself and his fellow heroes if he can’t even do that. He cares for those around him, but can be quite annoying and goofy to them, as well as others. Lawrence sometimes tends to be very open with people to the point that he casually says embarrassing stuff to talk about. He has very little shame in what he says or does, and enjoys being himself. Quirk and AbilitiesQuirk:Overcharge- This allows Lawrence to generate energy from his body and manipulate it. The manipulation part requires focus to do, and if he is in alot of pain, he can’t manipulate the energy. He is able to use the energy to fly, create solid objects from energy, as well as blasts and pulses. The downside though, is that the more energy he uses, the more sensitive his pain receptors get. (EX: If he used it for a bit and got punched, the punch would feel 10x worse than it really is). Another downside is if he uses too much in a single moment, he can temporarily overload his nervous system, causing him to go limp or paralyzed for a few minutes at a minimum. Lawrence also possesses a very high pain tolerance given his quirk and he has a extremely acute memory though it only applies to anime references.MovesMost of his moves are based off anime References, with notable ones bein- Rasengan: a melee strike that uses his energy to land a devastating blow. takes a short bit to charge up - Star Platinum: Lawrence forms what looks like a brutish humanoid out of energy, to which the construct then barrages the opposition with punches all while Lawrence screams out “ORA!” This attack has a limited range of 2 meters - Kamehameha: Lawrence charges up energy and then shoots it out in a beam. It’s very destructive! Has a long charge - Bari bari no Mi: Lawrence crosses his fingers and a barrier forms around him, he can also shape this barrier even using it to form stairs If Lawrence uncrosses his fingers the barrier seemingly disappears The move has only been used for defense. Lawrence however after the Yakuza arc starts to develop a new technique that isnt anime related. - Sengo Shooting Stars: Lawrence holds out his hands and charges up his attack with an orb of energy forming, then out from the orb fires a wide spread amount of energy shots. this AOE is also quite destructive. This move takes the same amount of time to charge up as the Kamehameha g EquipmentLawrence's hero outfit is made of super soft and durable material...however it doesnt provide the best defense for him. He also manages to snag a small device that allows him to play music as he fights. BattlesLawrence vs Yugino (Win), Lawrence, Gang Orca and Gary Verine vs Soma Maut (Undecided), Lawrence and Yugino vs Soma Maut (Lost) Lawrence and 1-B students vs Varek and Ketsubusu High students (Won). Lawrence, Midorin, Yurei and Tarunetsu vs Nickel, Kagakai, Warau and Yugino (Undecided). Lawrence vs Soma Maut (Won) Trivia:>During his childhood, Lawrence would go with his mother to anime conventions when they moved to Japan. Here is where he got his signature hat, a replica of Jotaro's Kujo's hat from Pt.3, one signed by Matt Mercer! >A canon thing he does is that he uses his quirk absentmindedly to make little purple sparkles appear around him. (One way of knowing he is conscious is to look for sparkles) >He is assembling a squad called the UA ANIME SQUAD which is a whole bunch of people he befriends that all enjoy anime >Him and his mother had a secret technique they would use to try and persuade Jack (Lawrence's dad) to do something. It was called the “Sengo Shining Smile!” with it being the two would give the biggest puppy dog eyes and brightest smiles to Jack, leading to them asking for stuff (like anime dvds, or him to join them at a comic con). >Because Lawrence's dad had a lot of international business friends, Lawrence was taught a variety of languages from a young age, making him quite multilingual. Lawrence specifically likes: - German - Spanish - Japanese >Lawrence also has a great amount of skill in cosplaying and this sometimes translates into him having great makeup skills.
