Mouseleap is one of those "been there, done that, for the love of Starclan leave me alone" elders. They do have a soft spot in their heart for kits, and of course their children. Mouseleap was delighted when Fernclaw announced that she and Squirrelwhisker were mates, and hopes that they'll be able to either find a surrogate, or be able to adopt some kittens before Mouseleap dies.

Mouseleap enjoys spending time with the other elders as well, since none of them are overly hyper, and they know what its like to have gone through the great sickness. Mouseleap (and the others) don't enjoy talking about it, since so many cats died during it, but some night they'll all four of them sit together and remember the dead.
