Personality:

Sol is a riot! Happy-go-lucky, peppy, and ever so positive, he’s the kind of guy you’d expect to find helping animals cross the road. He laughs easily and loudly, and he’s not shy about letting you know how he feels about things. Sol is extremely smart, and he always has been, but this doesn’t mean he’s never had to try. His knowledge was earned through hard work instead of natural talent, so he has always held dangerously high expectations of himself. These expectations are what led to his death at the young age of 19, as he died of a caffeine and stress induced heart attack while studying astrophysics in university.

Solar Flare is mystified by space, and how things fly, or how life comes to be. This fascination with space is where he took his name from, because he felt as if the man he used to be and the man he is now aren’t the same person, and thus shouldn’t be using the same name. Nevertheless, Sol isn’t particularly bothered by the fact that he’s not really “alive”, and is instead grateful for the chance he was given to do his life over. He appreciates all the little things! ...Even if they don’t really appreciate him. :(

General facts/trivia:

♡ Sol’s body was recovered by his father, who is a government scientist. He fused his consciousness with an energy core, which powers Sol’s very being, and is locked away inside of his chest cavity. His father is mostly horrified by his own decisions and what he did while overcome with grief, and while he doesn’t hate Sol, he’s not fond of him, and he doesn’t see him as his son.

♡ Sol has all of his memories from when he was alive. While they are technically him, he doesn’t like to think of himself and who he was before his reconstruction as the same person. He actively avoids thinking about his own death.

♡ He can and does eat. His technology is extremely advanced, so he’s even able to taste, sort of. His sense of taste is dulled, but he’s just happy he can still eat, because he loves to do so!

♡ Sol LOVES animals. Especially baby ones!! Can and will stuff 20 kittens into a big trench coat and try to leave the pet store.

♡ Adores music, and really just any funny noises. Things with a lot of bass make him extremely excited, because he can feel it shaking his interior components around.

♡ When Sol is bored or distressed, he makes things out of paper. Planes, stars, animals, really just anything! Folding paper was what his father would make him do to test his strength calibrations and motor skill, so it calms him down, as well as occupies his time.

♡ OBLIVIOUS. Never try to hint things to Sol, he’ll never get it. Flirting goes way over his head. Never expect him to pick up that he’s supposed to be sneaky or agree with a lie, because he won’t get it. He’ll totally just out you for lying because he’s so dumb. Save this man.
