Chasingcloud and Breezeshine were an older pair when they adopted Moonkit. She was a shy thing but they always tried to keep her involved. Growing up was harder for Moonkit who was naturally an unusual type. The lonely upbringing was fine though because early on, Appleberry would take notice of her.
They would be named a healer's apprentice and slowly learn the whole world of herbs and healing. They took to it surprsingly well! Appleberry was a fine mentor, always praising him for the little successes.
It felt so peaceful- not being a warrior fighting those big fights. Egretplume would retire, Appleberry to take the place as lead healer. Following Moonwatcher then was Bramblepaw and, soon, Pebblepaw. For Moonwatcher, it was best to just sit back and watch life happen.
But Appleberry became tired. He was old, after all, and had to acknowledge that StarClan was speaking to Moonwatcher now, not him. So the passing of the torch occured with Moonwatcher now being the lead healer for BluffClan.

- SECRET 1
- As a kit, Moonwatcher once wandered out of camp. They didn't get far but climbed a couple branches up a tree to look up at Silver Pelt. She claims to have seen a shooting star that night, an indicator of her future tied to StarClan.
- SECRET 2
- It was not Appleberry but Moonwatcher who received the visions regarding Bramblepaw and Pebblepaw. The first vision, Appleberry chose to accept it but did not take it as Moonwatcher's tie to StarClan, perhaps suspecting a fluke. Frankly, he suspected it was a fluke too.
- SECRET 3
- The truth? Moonwatcher lied about receiving a vision about Bramblepaw. She felt bad for the kit who was getting judged. They couldn't save both Bramble and Bracken so... they chose Bramblepaw. Was losing Bramblepaw a sign from StarClan that they never should have lied about a vision?
"I- I- I disappointed. He's disappointed. In me, I mean. Uh, I, I didn't mean it. He knew. How'd he know? Please forgive me. Please, I w-was just trying my best to help. Helping is what, wh-what we do, right?"
"I'm sorry. I did this. StarClan took it on him. He's safe. He's in StarClan. Right? I didn't doom him... did I?"
"This newbie is. Hm. Interesting. Fun even. They have a strange talk. They're fascinating. Like a bug. I wish to know more. If it's okay. I hope so."
"Mm. Very smart. Pebblepaw does good work. She's attentive. Great with words. Um, I think... she'll be really good. I hope she doesn't doubt. Er, have doubt. In me. I mean. She liked Bramblesong. Ha, I probably hurt her, huh?"
