[Brief description here.] Contents [show][Insert Appearence Here] Rin is someone that knows how to smile well. Sweet and charming in it's appearance, Rin's smiles allow her to be viewed as friendly and inviting to others, making her quite well like within the student body. Her behavior is a result of what people are used to from her due to her time as a 1st year and her wild popularity due to being the women's volleyball ace at the time; friendly, cheerful, and carefree. People have come to expect a certain behavior from Rin and she in turns works hard to meet that perception. Behind her smiles however is an anger that she keeps down carefully. Angry at herself, the time she put into her sport trying to be the best, and the fact that it ended as quickly as it started is something that sticks to her, the fact that others expect to not be angry over such a thing only adding to her contempt. For Rin, volleyball was her drive, her future, and know that it was taken away she is unsure of what she wants out of life and what she wants to do. She is angry and bitter, defeated and lost, a festering pile of emotions that Rin can't share because others don't want to see it. Feeling as if her emotions were being restricted solely for the sake of not making things awkward concerning her has led her to simply not voice her feelings at all. As such she tends to play it safe when it comes to her opinons on things. Once a rising star in the volleyball scene, after suffering a career ending injury many have taken to regarding her with pity and it’s something she simply smiles and accepts. It’s not to say she didn’t welcome it at first however she soon began to feel that her injury was something people defined herself with and Rin quickly began to hate the pitying glances and empty words being thrown at her. As a result, Rin developed a fierce sense of independence to the point of stubbornness and refuses handouts and acts of assistance. They make her feel weak and powerless and that’s simply something that doesn’t sit right with her. Being pity is something she despises and she will snap at anyone that does so. Because of her injury, Rin has a sort of love hate relationship with the sport. She can’t forget the joy that it brought her however she can’t shake the bitterness she feels when she sees the court and is hit with the fact that she’ll never be able to stand on it again, though it’s not something she vocalizes. It’s a wonder in itself that she became a manager for the boy’s volleyball team but this was simply due to the desire to still be connected with something she loved. It’s to be noted that over time Rin began to lose that sense of bitterness of being unable to play thanks to her new found role as she realizes that she can do just as much off the court as she can on it. With people Rin actually considers friends, she is much more relaxed and casual as she has no need to put on airs. Rather outspoken with her thoughts, Rin is easily a playful sort that loves to tease and mess around. Rin's actual friend group is rather small but she honestly prefers it that way.
