From the very beginning, Palila's mission was to feel beautiful and make others feel that way too. Growing up, Palila has been her mother's little shadow, following the woman everywhere and anywhere she possibly could. Her mother never minded, the little girl was her biggest pride and joy. Palila never knew her father, her mother cut him off early into her pregnancy and started her life anew in Whitelight Shores as a cosmetologist before Palila was born, hoping to set aside enough money to better solidify the pair's future. After Palila was born, her mother's priorities shifted drastically in the young child's direction, making sure she had everything she needed to succeed right off the bat. Her mother made sure Palila grew up happy and healthy, and such devotion truly showed as the young girl grew. By the time Palila was old enough to go to school, she and her mother were inseparable; after the school day was done, Palila would rush to her mother's salon, watching as her mother would paint her customer's nails and style their hair and makeup.

Palila's favorite time of the day had always been joining her mother at the salon, amazed by how her mother was able to bring out the beauty in every single customer that walked through her door. It was during those moments that Palila began to realize the impact she wanted to have on the world. She started asking for makeup and nail polish for Christmas and birthdays and spent hours watching tutorials online on how to utilize her new tools properly. She would come to school with the brightest colors of nail polish on her nails, trimmed to perfection, and her makeup close to pristine. She quickly became well-known for her prowess in beauty, and she was always willing her share her best makeup hacks with those who asked for them. By the time she hit high school, she had solidified herself as the go-to for prom makeup and hairstyles, and she found herself creating a small business of her own by doing so. She had created such a great following and customer base that after graduation, she started working at her mother's salon, bringing in younger customers. At present, Palila still works at the salon alongside her mother, the two dedicated to making the world a more beautiful place to live.
