Most believe that Vause was created to be a companion to Vel when she became lonely. She wished for someone to share her creations with, so she made him in the image of herself. Some speculate that Vel made Vause weaker because she feared his betrayal.

When Vel's creations began to fight amongst eachother, she set Vause to unite them and stand in as their King until peace was made. Once a peaceful government was established, he returned to Vel's side.
