ǫᴜᴇᴇɴ ᴄɪᴀɴɴ

Queen Ciann was born to a Lord and Lady in Mietsu. She was brought up with the intention of marrying her to the prince when she came of age. Everything about her life was very strict, from lessons to what she could wear and who she could speak to. Though she resented this as a young girl, she grew to respect her parents for the way they raised her, because she felt that it helped make her into someone who could one day be Queen. When Ciann first met Prince Akano, she found him quite sweet, and was excited for their hopeful marriage. They spent more and more time together, and she started to realize that while he was perfectly nice, she disagreed with him on a lot of political issues. At one point, she considered stepping down as one of his possible brides, but her father talked to her and made her realize that she would be able to do more to change his policies as Queen than anything else. With this she became determined to win him over, and she did. They had a son, Tyriel, and managed to be quite happy for some time. As the years wore on, though, they seemed to be less a married couple and more partners in ruling.
