Amur

Amur is the captain of a fearsome pirate ship, admired by her crew for her tactical mind and vicious nature -- and feared by her enemies for the same. After the fall of Heaven, she clawed her way up the food chain of pirate crew after pirate crew until she took command of her own ship and gained the power to chart her own course.

While there are other daitens on her crew, she is not preferential to them over other members. To Amur, the most important thing is that you can prove your skill: do it, and she will keep you on. Fail, and you're lucky to be abandoned at the next port. She is harsh, but she listens to those she trusts and is fair -- at least according to her own sense of morality.
