Heir to the Ichika branch, one of the extension of The Hundred Devouring Families, Mizumi is a very persuasive young woman with a knack for snaking her way into peoples good sides. Coming off as charasmatic and happy go lucky young woman who devouts herself to anyone who needs assistance, Mizumi is rather popular among the students of Hyakkaou Private Academy. In reality, despite her kind nature being genuine, her motives for being friendly are much more selfish an manipulative as Mizumi befriends most in order to place an ace in her pocket. Holding dirt amongst most, the threat of having secrets released is enough to keep most under her sweet little finger. Motivated by the yearning to prove herself worthy of inheriting the Ichika branch and ensuring that her parents and the general populus perceive her in the best light possible, she's rather compassionate and often feels lousy once she's force to reveal a secret.
Guided by her own misgivings of what should be right in comparison to that of what's expected of her as an elite, while not reckless with her money, Mizumi often feels alienated from her classmates, an odd sense of altruistism that forces her into tight scenarios which she otherwise could have gotten out of with a little bit more of a back bone. Though she may be mellow, her secure sense of justice and by extension the equity that comes with it results in her more often then not siding with those she believes to be worse off even if she herself may be negatively affected.
Born the first daughter of the Ichika branch to Kenji and Suzume, Mizumi was raised to judge those belowe her with disgust. Attempting to mould their daughter into the perfect young woman who would serve their branch for generations with the extention of the teachings she would pass on, Mizumi was alienated from her siblings for a majority of her life. Expected to excell in every field provided to her despite it's apparent complexity, the pressure would slowly boil within the young woman. With a routine set from the first day of her birth and never deviating from it, as Mizumi matured, the apparent lack of love that her parents had socially inhibited from her led to severe introversion.
Unable to properly interact with people due to her social ineptness, she found power through the art of gambling. Able to comminicate her motions and thoughts via the art of the card, devolping a knack for Crescent in particular and gaining a reputation because of it, though a slow process, Mizumi learned to mask her inability to communicate by copying the facades of the people around her. Eventually mastering it enough that she no longer needed to mask her emotionless persona, the false kindness exposed to her became a second nature to the extent that she herself is unable to revert to her default way of interacting with others unless prompted under stressful situations.

- Rather than appear visably thrilled, Mizumi reverts to her quiet and reserved way of interaction and barely speaks when she's exicted or worried when gambling.
