The only thing John values more than his life is keeping it; every thing else comes second. Many find it hard to befriend him due to attitude & tendency to act first, ask latter. Those who manage to gain a posotive relationship with him are still subject to being one of his lesser priorities, him opting for self preservation over helping even if a close friend is in danger. However he has, on rare occasions, put another first.

He hates flowers. He has slight phobia of them & will typically avoid coming into contact with them at all costs. Mainly do to having comrades die to things like poison from them (like an angles trumpet tea) this has lead to an irrational fear. Other plants & mushrooms are on thin ice
