Summary of history; Simon grew up as a child soilder. He lived in a communist, dystopian society. It is one of two heavily industralized realms. Pretty much everyone he knew worked in the factories so when he was offered a way out of that, he took it. But during his time in the army his own powers (the ability to control toxins and pollutants) was turned against him and he ended up mutated, hence why he never removes his gas mask.

Personaltiy: Simon has a sick sense of humor. Via years of torment and abuse, he has become rather warped. As a child he was rather hopeful and adventerous. But during his time in the military pretty much all of him has been wiped out and he has been rendered cruel and merciless. He can't feel sympathy and only feels joy when it is at the suffering of others.
