About
Noriko is a cold and logical girl who is focused on using her talents to do whatever is right by the book. She doesn't talk to other people a whole lot unless it's necessary or they talk to her first. She chooses to be silent and because of it, she believes it brings more power to her voice. She can be very sympathetic and motherly but isn't afraid to chastise and put someone down for something they did wrong. Many call her emotionless, as it's hard to provoke anything besides sympathy out of her, but she blames it on her line of work. You can't get emotional when you're in court.
She wouldn't ever admit it but she is rather proud of herself. She loves her job, she loves what she gets to do every day, even if there will be people who hate her for it. One of her fathers inspired her as a child to go into law and be an attorney like him. And when her father was put to trial for supposedly faking evidence fora case he did years ago. This is where Noriko gained most of her fame, as she stepped up to the plate to defend her father. She worked tirelessly for weeks to find the evidence needed to prove it was his rival that was trying to put him in jail.
This trial shook Japan for a little while and escalated Noriko into the limelight. Hope's Peak Academy would find her and invite her to become the school's Ultimate Attorney. Her father before her had the talent as well, so she took it gladly.

Personality
Noriko has a bit of a strange aura to her. She acts very cold and straightforward to anyone she meets, believing that she will find the truth if she is frank. However, she doesn't often approach people unless she has to. She will speak to others when someone talks to her. She has been called emotionless, but she blames her line of work for it. You can't get emotional in the courtroom or you can be seen as weak or not a great attorney.
Despite being rather strict and straightforward, she can be motherly. She will sympathize with anyone who needs it. She will be the one to hold your hand when a family member dies or hug you when you get your heartbroken. She believes she gets it from her own dads who taught her to be kind but be truthful.
If you step out of line or break a law, Noriko will chastise you for what you've done. In fact, she will yell at you. She can get rather heated if someone argues about villainy or crime. She wants her friends to be good citizens like her and is deeply hurt when they turn to crime.

Noriko has dark skin with many wrinkles along with her forehead, with thin eyebrows and a beauty mark next to her lips. She tends to wear lots of pastel colors. She has light-colored eyes and black hair that is parted in the middle and is tied in a high ponytail, that falls to her paperback. She usually wears a pastel yellow button-up with charcoal business pants. She also has a pair of orange glasses.
She never slouches and always stands up straight. Her clothes almost never have wrinkles on them, and she always values her outward presentation Her hair is always straightened and parted in the middle.

Naoyuki and Noriko have the best relationship. Naoyuki is the one Noriko looks up to most, as she aspires to be an attorney like him. Noriko is also the one who took down the rival that tried to arrest him for perjury and corruption of the legal system.

Tetsu Hamasaki: Father
Tetsu is a little too nerdy for Noriko's tastes but she helped him a lot as a kid, helping him work on his models and listening to his rants for hours. Nowadays, he is very proud of her and is a very emotional father. He hopes one day she will help him build another model rocket again.

Genki Kurokawa, the man who tried to accuse her father of perjury. She despises the man with all of her being, and will do anything to protect the people he's trying to accuse.

Noriko Hamasaki was born on May 1st to two unknown parents in Japan. She was given up when she was a newborn and was given over to an adoption agency in Kita City. She was not adopted because of her darker skin tone until one-day Naoyuki and Tetsu entered. Naoyuki was a famous attorney and practitioner of law from Shibuya. Many Japanese people hated him for his skin tone alone. He had fought so hard to get where he was and he fell in love with baby Noriko instantly. The two new fathers pampered her as a child. Tetsu works as a model builder for local museums, but his passion is always for model rockets. The two bonded over building rockets together, and Tetsu kept every one of them, no matter how broken or bad they were.
When Noriko grew older, she took after her father Naoyuki more and more, and even dedicated herself to Buddhism and undertook a traditional initiation, and earned a small burn mark from the incense stick on the crook of her arm, by the inside of her elbow. It forms as a reminder to keep herself balanced and focused in life.
Noriko studied much harder than many of her other students. She joined the student council, both in middle and high school, making it in as the first black woman to be on the councils, recognized for her hard work and dedication and support from her fathers, friends, and some young teachers. She was known for always having high test scores, if not acing them all together. She studied endlessly, becoming distant from her friends at some points. She wanted to be like her dad, Naoyuki. She struggled with reading because of her dyslexia but she struggled onward, knowing that she would be discriminated against for her skin color in a country primarily populated by white people. She was ready to make a breakthrough as a black woman in the law field. The biggest push for her, was when Naoyuki was arrested and accused of perjury and
