Rontti

DESIGN

Rontti is a medium-sized, long-legged and skinny creature. He isn't much of a match in a fight for anyone, but can hunt for himself thanks to his relatively alright speed. Rontti has the vibe of not being able to hurt anyone, and has quite a pathetic appearance. He often walks with his head down and shows canine signs of submission even if they are not required.

The grey dog has several shades and spots of grey and white around his body. Different shaped white "sock" patterns in each paw. Eyes are green with hazel rings outside, and the eyewhites are yellow. Eyes are often pointing down, making him constantly looking sad, or perhaps more so lazy. Crooked smile in a long snout is to be his typical expression. The smirk does not seem to change even if he's not exactly feeling happy. His claws are long and yellow.

The tail is a pathetic, bony mess of fur and barely any flesh. His fur is soft and in mats and tangles around the body, but the head is surprisingly well kept. Constantly walks head down, hunched and submissive. Might smell funky. If he took better care of himself, he might even look handsome. Definitely has some borzoi vibes.

PERSONALITY:

Everything Rontti claims is a lie. Could even be said that he's a master of lies, though that might give him too much credit for a lot of luck. For the whole amount of his short life, he has paid specific attention to what he should say in what situation. He often gets away from bad situations just by talking. Rontti is cunning and flattering, even ingratiating. He is calculating, a fast thinker. Despite all this, inside, this dog is cold and emotionless, and he doesn't much care for what happens to other creatures. He's capable of murder if he knows he can't get caught. Rarely shows his soft side, but there probably is one somewhere. Somewhere very deep.

Rontti is a great storyteller, and he genuinely enjoys telling stories. It's impossible to know whether his tall tales are true or not, there is just enough fantasy and reality to make you doubt. He enjoys all reactions greatly, and doesn't ask for payment for telling them - but does so for everything else it does for others' sake. Nothing is free for him.

Rontti is a kleptomaniac. Collecting is his career as well as an obsession. He is not emotionally attached to objects, but to collecting and organizing them. He has built a whole career out of gathering different materials, and this is how he is known in his pack. Largely Rontti spends most of his time gathering items and then trading them for various supplies, like food, protection or any of the like. Due to this, he doesn't hunt by himself, but only trades for food or goes scavenging through others' hunts. Rontti trades with anyone, and he doesn't see much of a difference between packs or species.

COLLECTING

Rontti often carries with him a bunch of weaved, colorful bags which have materials and different kind of accessories (jewerly, clothing, bones, feathers, wood, leather, fur, antlers, stones...) inside them. Hidden stashes have more of these bags, and their colors and sizes can vary. He doesn't make these bags, but gets them from trading materials. He can also be seen wearing different harnesses and leather straps to carry more items or help him move the bags. The fur on his back is thin and balding from the spots where the heavy bags have been carried.
He has several stashes of items in different places. The stashes are well hidden and separated, and they might have items such as jewerly, materials, clothes, bags and other various stuff. There is no food in these stashes to prevent other animals from digging them up.
