I'll write their info in a better format some other time, but for now, enjoy my late-night brain barf:

Karosso (pron. ka - row - so )

about the species:

• [species] all have birthmarks on their chest and on their cheeks
  • these marks come in different shapes, sizes, and colors, but they're always in the same general area
  • when using magic, these marks emit a glow
    • the more concentration one is putting into using their magic, the brighter the glow
      • you can tell an individual has mastered a spell and can use it with ease when their marks have barely or zero glow at all

• the world [species] lives in is very similar to ours, just that magic exists
• they currently live in a peaceful era in which powerful, destructive magic has not been needed and is for the most part banned in most places
  • the knowledge of such magic has since been lost to time, as those who had wielded powerful magic didn't need to teach their children, nor were they allowed to use it
  • individuals overall are just generally weaker in magical abilities compared to their ancestors, so even if they came upon the knowledge of powerful magic, they wouldn't even be able to use it

• the average individual is only capable of using only very basic magic
• think low level spells from DnD or RPGs or something
• basically stuff such as being able to use fire-based magic in order to heat up food, or ice-based magic to cool down things. stuff like that
• I'm keeping this very open to interpretation because I want people to have fun lol
  • just remember that [species] don't have reason to learn or use powerful magic spells. there aren't any wars or monsters here.
