Rumors say some people go completely missing after meeting a certain young man in black at Artherium’s many shores. Unfortunately, Okeanos is there to make the rumors come true. With him having lost faith in humanity, he also lost the ability to feel. Everyone who encounters him for the few minutes before their death find him very nihilistic and very tired in general. Despite this, Okeanos is still non-confrontational and often will not do anything unless interacted with. When he is serious, he tends to be merciless and works extremely fast. It seems that whenever Okeanos shapeshifts, he partly loses his mind and some emotions seem to spill. Those who hear him call him the Nullifier, the one who nullifies others’ lives.
Character
Tiredness
Due to his beliefs, Okeanos essentially became very reclusive, which made him so used to solitude that any interaction with anyone exhausts him very quickly. He is very often seen resting as a result, usually during the day.
Non-confrontation
During his past life, he was always afraid of raising concerns in fear of losing the privilege his parents gave him, which made Okeanos very non-confrontational. The only reason he isn’t confrontational now is because he thinks confrontation is useless.
No mercy
With no more emotions, it’s easier for Okeanos to be merciless. Once he has a target in view, he will not take long to take them down. No cries or screams will convince him to let go of someone he wants to kill. It seems no one can make him change his mind.
Oh?
On very rare occasions, Okeanos can be seen feeling emotions. Of course, they aren’t the healthy kind due to his nature as a sea killer. How can someone as innocent as Okeanos be such a cruel, cold & deranged murderer?
Story
Reborn on a new “Earth”, but something feels off.
A pure soul drowned in the universe’s emptiness before finding itself in Artherium. Okeanos suddenly awakened in what seemed to be a very decorated coral field. Surprisingly enough, he was able to breathe despite being underwater and his legs were replaced by a fish tail. Okeanos realized he wasn’t human anymore, but a merman instead.
Normally, he would be extremely excited to be one with the sea, but Okeanos did not react to his own realization. Instead, he swam towards the surface and tried to find an island. Okeanos was surprisingly able to find one easily and tried finding answers as to where he was. After exploring the island for a fairly short amount of time, he realized no one was going to answer him…and that he was on a deserted island.
As Okeanos tried to swim back into where he had originally come from, he was attacked by an unknown force and was easily knocked down due to his inability to defend himself.
Swim into the void and see the evil in the world
Okeanos found himself in what seemed to be an experimentation room. But, all he could see was an overwhelming amount of screens where the only things that played were all the atrocities everyone has been able to commit throughout history. Looking at all of it made Okeanos more and more uncomfortable. All of it reminded of how he was drowned by his home kingdom’s enemies. All the horrible feelings he had felt as he lost more and more oxygen from being unable to breathe.
Despite that, part of him was morbidly curious to see how worse people can get. And so, the screens started showing the more unforgivable crimes. Murder. Genocide. Abuse. Arson. All crimes that resulted in other people’s misery. All of them were committed for so many reasons, but one reason kept coming up: selfishness. Some people needed to kill to survive. Others wanted to kill for greed.
But, the main take from all of these is the following: It feels like there’s no point to try, everyone wants to sabotage each other somehow and will hide this as well as possible. And, no matter one’s status, they inevitably fall into the hands of greed.
Swim into the void and see the evil in the world
Even if Okeanos essentially witnessed years, even millennia of horrors, he refused to believe people were that bad. Despite the circumstances of his death, he did not want to give up on humanity. And so, he tried leaving whatever room he was in. But, no matter what he did, he could not find a single exit. Okeanos tried everything he could to make himself an exit…but with no success.

Basic Abilities
Okeanos has enhanced vision and is able to see from extremely far. Due to the nature of his “job”, he also has exceptional night vision. He’s also extremely fast, being able to swim faster than what’s considered as the fastest boats in the world. Okeanos also seems to be able to breathe underwater without needing to transform as well due to him carrying both lungs and gills.
Merfolk transformation
As a merfolk, he is able to shapeshift his tail into human legs…or rather, the opposite. Okeanos’s speed doesn’t depend on the kind of legs he has at all, although he is faster with a tail. His abilities are amplified considerably while in merfolk form, however, and Okeanos tends to take a more monstrous form in general, making him harder to recognize by those who “get his help”.
Water mastery
Wanting the power to take down whoever he wanted, Okeanos worked extremely hard on perfecting water manipulation so that his many plans to kill unsuspecting people always works flawlessly. He particularly has the ability to control the sea water around him at a 1 km radius, as well as shaping water in any shape and even change its properties to hurt others.
Sea monster summoning
One of Okeanos’s favorite ways of killing consists of giving people to sea monsters to eat, thus he has exceptional affinity with any sea creatures, no matter what they are. They essentially follow his every order. Usually, Okeanos commands these monsters orally or by telepathy.

- This version of Okeanos has many different ways of killing, but some of his favorites include: luring victims into caves filled with hungry monsters & providing boats for those in need only to have them destroyed by sea monsters or himself.
- Okeanos is normally found on deserted islands or beaches in the middle of a fog. He can also be found during the night as well.
- His staff, Abyssus, is the reason Okeanos hides his right eye. Its influence caused his eye to become red and its sclera to turn black.
- Okeanos has a slightly deeper voice and has a tendency of whispering a lot. He is not the type to scream, unless he's transformed.
- He very rarely smiles, it's only possible to see a speck of how he's genuinely feeling by looking at his eyes. This is easier when he's tranformed.
- This version was originally made as an opposite version of his old version (Angel), but this was scrapped until the idea was very recently explored as a Genocide AU even if Okeanos does not actually commit genocide.
Relationships
Deci was technically the one who dragged Null into the House of Slaughter. Despite Deci being a Sirius, Null doesn’t strongly feel much towards him, probably due to his essence being too different for him to relate to the eldritch abomination. There’s also a little dislike, mostly because of them not particularly getting along well.
The two of them get along extremely well despite Geno’s abrasive personality at times. This is due to their ties as Sirius & Okeanos, previously being childhood friends. When Null isn’t sleeping, the two of them particularly enjoy playing their favorite game of tag. Despite having different reasons to kill, they are always happy to rely on each other when needed.
Null doesn’t really have a particular opinion on Exsynth other than the fact that he can tolerate them and might actually enjoy their company if he wasn’t sleeping so much.
Not even Null can escape Capi’s kindness and will sometimes even do the activities they organize with the main reason that he genuinely doesn’t mind their presence and even find some kind of comfort in them. Other than that, he doesn’t exactly consider them as close friends.
While they naturally get along due to past bonds, Null doesn’t find Exec that special. Despite that, though, he doesn’t mind interacting with him once in a while about the different books he reads and about the things he’s doing outside of the house.
Oh no, he doesn’t get along with them at all. He always wants them to fuck off and to never touch his room or his body.
Null doesn’t care, as they don’t seem as disruptive as Devo. They can take care of their rates, he can take care of some of the fish in his aquarium.
While Null does feel some concern for Gene, he doesn’t go out of his way to help him. In fact, he’d rather have someone else take care of him, as he’s always too tired to socialize, as he would always explain.
These two do not get along at all, and Null would much rather listen to Deci over listening to Domi when it comes to orders in general. No one really understands why, but this may have to do with past life stuff.
