Maya Shundo is a young lady with the ears of a cat. At age 24, she's a young sorceress who works heavily with the magical arts of old. She stands at about 5'1", although this is no bother to her; she has methods of circumventing difficulties with height. She's usually rather warm natured, taking colder climates very well but overheating quickly. Her cat ears are sensitive to the touch, although they provide no additional benefits to hearing.
Maya is generally an oddball when it comes to personality, changing her demeanor based on those she is around; individuals with a strong nature will receive a strong nature in return, as to where those with a softer nature will receive a more warm and gentle side of her. She's always willing to meet people, but doesn't hold anything back in regards to contempt for another individual. This is one of her more difficult points, as the blunt reactions she can give to individuals often get her into trouble. When it comes to obligations, she's reliable most of the time, although she can be rather forgetful if she doesn't take care of something immediately.
More often than not, she dedicates more of her time to studying and learning about magic than she does actually performing it, but her skills are still exceptional when she does take the time to act. She uses her abilities in daily life to perform simple to complex tasks, but never goes out of her way to perform anything particularly taxing. This makes it so that she isn't incredibly reliable when working under stress. This being said, her natural potential makes it rather difficult to overwhelm her, as she can do rather major feats of magic with ease, especially regarding that of an elemental nature.
