At first, nothing in the way of combat—they just freeze up—but they're decent with diplomacy and more-than-decent at alchemy and related magic. Later on, they learn ways of compensating for their blindness in combat.
Profile
An alchemist who joined up with the Coterie a handful of years ago with their little sister Kaliko, on the run from... something. Well, they're far from the only one. What else, what else... well, they're chattery as hell, and sometimes help Aouli with the cooking (especially when he needs unusual ingredients).
(They're some sort of extraterrestrial royalty, which is brought to light when their mother and her knight finally catch up to the Coterie. By the time Ariel finds them, Kaliko is gone and Hoku terribly wounded, blind and bleeding out in the woods. That was three years ago. Three years of training and plotting, preparing to track Kaliko down and bring them home to their real family.)
