How can anyone stay angry at Todd? Though his habit of jumpscaring can be mildly annoying, at the end of it they are just harmless pranks, without the least bit of ill intent. Not to add the goofball’s beaming smile, enough to wash away all fatigue and stress accumulated throughout the day. Even Ika is not spared from this genuineness and innocence, Todd the only merman allowed to do as he pleases in his presence, without any repercussions.

However, one cannot help but notice it seems more than tolerance after a first glance. You see, Todd has a great fear of... fish, so just imagine the sheer horror each time he lights up with excitement, only to be swarmed by schools drawn in by the luminescence. But each time, without fail, Ika will appear almost magically, putting on his own lightshow to draw the critters away from the cowering mass. If this isn’t love, I don’t know what is.
