Redemption never came..."

[Besomorph & Coopex - Redemption]

Most historians agree that the Creator died shortly after creating the world, her blood soaking the earth and bringing to life the mortals and her soul giving way to the Great Inhumans- the gods and dragon masters. The gods and goddesses were led by Lapiste and Victina- in turn the goddesses of Change and Staticity- those who had worked with the Creator before her death.
The story of Asclepius is told both as a warning story from the gods, a tragedy to some mortals, and a rallying call for his followers.

Originally he was the god of medicine, his name coming from an ancient civilization's god with a similar purpose. Asclepius worked closely with Tsuki, the goddess of healing and the supporter classes. Once they were the greatest partners in the Aether, where the gods and goddesses resided. Their teamwork brought about the mortals' health and growth, assisting them in surviving plagues and common but deadly disease.
But they say that something that Asclepius saw among the humans changed him.
From a benevolent god, he became cynical and hateful of the humans, growing more and more neglectful of his duties, despite growing only obsessively clingy to Tsuki.
His absence did not mean tragedy for the mortals in their realm. Their growth and understanding of medicine had already been started by Asclepius' involvement, and it only grew with their tenacity and relentlessness.
So what changed about him?
Judging by the wrath he incurred in the next decade, it had something to do with the Exian Empire- one of the greatest nations in the world. He cursed the Empire with his forbidden ability of Plague and Disease, temporarily destroying the natural balance the gods were forbidden from altering.
Despite the humans' young species age and the youth of their civilizations, the Empire withstood such a curse until Lapiste realized the Red Fire Plague ripping through its countryside was a violation of the gods' basic laws. In her rage, she blessed the Empire to temporarily stop the spread of the plague and cast Asclepius out of the Council of Great Inhumans, thus making him a demon.
From then his mind and body only deteriorated. He grew further addicted to Tsuki, despite her casting him away beside the other gods. No longer bound by the Creator's laws set for the natural world he became stronger than the other gods, growing confident in himself and eventually challenging Lapiste and Victina, unable to realize that they had been close with the Creator, meaning their strength transcended all the other gods.
After his defeat he was sealed away for as long as possible by the other gods and goddesses, although his conscience still remained. With what little remained of his powers, he reached out to those who were weak and harbored grudges against the rest of their society, rallying them with his story and forming a guild made of humans and inhuman alike so he could rule the world himself one day.
When the Red Fire Plague resurfaced a millennia later in the same Empire, killing the Empress Thalia and nearly killing Prince Lotharius, his rise began. His followers officially formed their own guild, quickly gaining land and taking over independent towns with their ruthless battles.
Although the Plague was deterred by the Empire's successful growth from the past millennia, it started the Great War which would take thousands of lives...
His name?

Auchemar, the demon of Plague and Disease, the source of Nightmares and the fallen Asclepius, god of medicine.
