A native of the dragonfly metropolis Jewelwing City, Pixie spent her first few years sheltered from the conflict with Robotnik even as his machines poisoned the city's water and any dragonfly that wandered too far vanished - and then, finally, Jewelwing was attacked outright. Separated from her father and aunt, barely able to fly, five-year-old Pixie wandered the withering wilderness for days until she was discovered by the spider Malthak. Raised and protected by Malthak - himself only a child six years older than her - over the next several years, Pixie only grew more sheltered due to the relative isolation, lonely even with her attachment to her caretaker... and then the pair stumbled onto the Freedom Fighters. Now a resident of Knothole, Pixie has bonded with Tails - and like him, seeks to prove herself as a member of the team.
