Haru hails from the Arashitora clan, a family raised to nobility status after their feats in the Great Demon Wars. The family's lineage is lengthy and well-respected by their village and surrounding folks that know of the deeds the clan has performed. The Arashitora have long had a family tradition stemming from their participation in the great war which has evolved into the present-day to suggest dragonborn born into the family perform a "Great Deed," the parameters of which is left to the interpretation of the individual. Haru left on a journey to follow this tradition in her adolescence, and has been traveling the world since. While she has a high standard for the specific deed she wants to perform--the greatest deed, she calls it--she is in no rush to get it done, and has for years adventured following her whims and fancies, performing all sorts of feats of strength and charity when she comes upon the chance.
Presently, she is still just traveling where the winds (and the organization she's now working for along with the rest of her adventuring party) take her with her hunting dog, Kiba. During the course of their current adventure, Kiba has gained humanoid intelligence and the ability to speak due to ingesting some weird plant.
