Brought up on a countryside farm, Mart has never left his or surrounding villages until the war broke out. Losing most of their crops and cattle due to the drought and government’s requisition, his family was met with famine, which led him to join the Yarrow corps. Although you can often spot him writing letters home, each of them would be full of mistakes - Mart only has a couple of years of primary education under his belt. He keeps sending over the base pay he earns, but ends up not receiving any answers back.

✽ Common Yarrow (Тысячелистник обыкновенный). As a type of weed, Yarrows are commonly considered to be naturally resistant to difficult weather conditions. Most of them work as farmers or factory workers and are a part of the working class.
