Lilac Peaks is a colony of Bowlcats located in a valley of a mountain range. To the south, there is a large, dense forest where the colony does most of its hunting.

Lilac Peaks is a monarchy, led by either a king or queen. This position is typically decided by the previous king or queen and is always one of his or her kits unless he or she has none. The king or queen's mate is also a quite powerful rank, although it is typically more for show. They can give other cats orders but don't have much say in politics or important decisions. A king or queen also has an adviser who helps them make important decisions and delegate tasks for the rest of the colony. The last important position in the colony is that of the bishop, who serves as a guide to the colony's religion and ancestors, and also works as a healer. The bishop is forbidden from taking a mate or having kits.
