Half-sister to Ali.

Timid and meek is not what one would ever expect to hear from the pride of the Borderlands. After all, their leader Ali, the desert guardian, was a stalwart leader who took his position seriously and acted without hesitation. The same could not be said for his half-sister, Seretse. Being the runt of her litter from a different father, a roving male who had been chased off by Ali’s father, Seretse had developed far differently from her half-brother. She was looked down upon by her stepfather, and Seretse had grown up trying to keep under the radar and avoiding conflict. 

Despite growing into a gifted huntress, the years of stress under her stepfather led to Serete's meek persona. Her only positive experience from a parent was from her mother, whom she’d cling to her fervently, and was met only with comfort from her. It was that kindness that later led to Serete's special bond with her niece and nephew, Naledi and Noka. When they were very young they’d often seek comfort from her on rainy days or times when food was scarce. Their fondness of her filled Seretse’s heart with joy. Until the day it all came crashing down.

Despite her timidness, Seretse stood her ground the day Baya’s clan invaded the Borderlands. She tried to save her niece before being tackled and torn apart by the hyenas' ravenous maws.
