Event 1

Oliver had a pretty standard childhood. He doesn't really care to talk about it much. He was born into the middle class along with his brother, parents got divorced when he was 9 years old. After that he lived with his father who won custody over the kids. He only visited his mother every second weekend. One of the reasons to the divorce was her drinking problem, which only got worse after she lost the lawsuit.

School was never really Oli's thing. He had a hard time concentrating and didn't care for school activities either. Not long after the beginning of high school he started to hang out with some bad company. Older kids who looked down on authorities and hang out in the alleyways, smoking and planning various shenanigans. All the kind of things a 15-year-old should stay away from. Well, Oliver didn't, because these kids were cool. Besides, he may or may not have had his first crush on the leader of the small gang... He did his best to impress them and was even pressured to robbing a convenience store once.
At the age of 16 he finally got a little closer to the leader - only to wish he never had... The guy took him to the outskirts of a nearby forest during a full moon. He was acting differently, talking about how Oli needed to get stronger and there was only one way. What happened next is something, he'll never forget. Up until this point he had been oblivious to the fact that the supernatural walked among them, but that all changed when the leader turned into a beast right before his eyes. Oliver didn't know that to think. He was scared of what was happening and ended up doing the only thing he could think of - running. The boy took off into the woods, stumbling and with a hurting heartbeat in his chest.
Unfortunately he didn't get far before he heard something approaching, fast. The next thing he knew, he was lying on his stomach on the cold ground. There was a loud growl right beside his ear and an incredible burning pain in his right shoulder. He was screaming. His head was spinning and he almost didn't hear the gunshot, that made the heavy wolf-beast jump off his back and run away. After that everything went black.

When Oliver regained consciousness, he found himself lying in a warm bed, neatly tucked in under the blankets. He raised a hand to his head and slowly managed to sit up. His right shoulder was wrapped in bandages. Two people were sitting by the fireplace, but when they noticed their guest was awake, they turned around to face him; a man and a woman, both middle aged. The woman offered Oliver soup while her husband explained what had happened to him. The boy didn't believe him at first. Werewolves were real? He was told that the couple had a son, who was a werewolf. However, he had passed away five years prior. They also told him that it wasn't safe to return home to his family. They asked him to stay in the cabin with them and they would help him adapt to his new lifestyle. Oliver of course refused. He didn't even know them and who were they to tell him what to do? However, he agreed to stay until he felt well enough to leave.

Oli never left... Only one day later the virus forced him into shifting. He felt sick to his stomach and his skin was on fire. He had never felt anything this painful! After 15 minutes of pure hell, a brown and scared wolf had taken his place. He remember nothing from his first turn, but when he awoke again, he was naked, the cabin's furnishings were mostly destroyed and the man had a nasty bite on his forearm. From that moment Oli knew that he indeed wouldn't be able to return home.

Over the next long period of time the couple became his guardians as they took him in. He learned their names were Richard and Suzanna, and they actually turned out to be pretty nice. Suzanna almost became like a mother to him, while Richard taught him how to relax and calm down, when he started to become angry. The shifting gradually became more tolerable, though still painful every time. But Richard wanted to teach him how to control it and therefore forced him to turn again and again.
Oliver lived with them for two years until an unforgivable event forced him to leave it all behind.
He and Suzanna were alone in the cabin when Oli involuntary shifted. He didn't know what caused it, but he never had a chance to stop it in time. Enraged, he attacked the poor woman and killed her on the spot. Soaked in blood that wasn't his own he heard a furious scream from the door. The wolf quickly turned its head and was instantly met by the blade of a hunting knife, that made a deep cut in his face. Oli whined in pain and jumped back, now face to face with his teacher and friend, who was bent down over his dead wife. Oliver returned to his own mind, still in his wolf form though. Terrified by what he had done, he ran...

Oliver never forgave himself, but he was also well aware that he couldn't run away from being a werewolf.
He found a place where no one knew him, New Cresthill. He could get a fresh start here and for a couple of years his life was actually tolerable. But nothing last forever...
One night Oli was heading home from work, when an older man approached him. He immediately recognized his scent. It was Richard. He had been searching for him all this time. Oliver instantly felt the regret from his past eat at him and he began to apologize. However, he was cut of, when Richard raised a gun at him. Without a word he pulled the trigger and shot him in the arm. The excruciating pain from the silver bullet forced Oliver to fall to the ground. Richard just stood there, silent, watching him, before he finally turned around and left like nothing had happened, leaving the werewolf to die a painful death by silver poisoning. But despite the pain, Oliver managed to get up and find his way to the local blood bank, who had the only cure he could think of. He was not ready to die yet. He didn't have any money, tho', and the blood cleaning, which was supposed to save his life, was very expensive. Somehow he was able to make a deal with the manager of the place, a vampire known as Meredith. In the end she saved his life with by cleaning his blood free of silver - in return he owed her his life and would forever be in debt to her... He also wasn't allowed to leave the town in case she needed him for something.

Six years later Oliver still lives in New Cresthill.
