The Design
Zeta is naturally tanned, with layered straight hair. They wear browline framed glasses. They have a simple black tongue piercing, and almost always have a band aid somewhere on their face.
They are thin framed, though often wearing baggy clothing. They also have red nail polish, though the color can be black or no polish at all.
The Personality
Zeta is an incredibly shameless and extroverted person. They have no issues going up to somebody and striking up a conversation, though it's not like they just walk up to anybody! In fact, despite Zeta's extroversion, it's very common to spot them wandering the town alone.
In fact, Zeta spends a lot of time frequenting random shops. Especially ones to loiter in, like a coffee shop, fast food place, bookstore- you get the idea.
Zeta is also quite confident, seemingly unaffected by making a fool of themselves or saying something out of left field. This is a fascinating combo to watch, since Zeta is notoriously clumsy and often bumping into things, tripping, and getting cuts. It's a pretty common occurrence to be talking to Zeta who bumps into a pole, says "ouch" really casually and goes back to what they were saying.
All in all, Zeta is a fun loving sort of person! Who enjoys going out, but does have troubles making deep connections with people.

The Past
Zeta Demello is born August 20, assigned female at birth. They are a native of Denali Isle where this story takes place.
In high school, she finally decided to embrace who she is and came out to her parents as non-binary and bisexual and preferred the pronouns of they/them.
Their dad not take it well, and their mom tolerated it. This lead to an incident where their dad got physically violent with Zeta, who ran away in fear. This was a major event, that led to a lot of fighting and disagreements, especially between their parents. Their dad finally fed up with the mounting tension in the house, divorced and left.
Now, Zeta lives with their mom. Zeta has embraced accepting all pronouns now, allowing people to use they/them, she/her and he/him. This way, no matter how much you're trying to mock them, they win. Just little Zeta things.
Zeta has lived on this island their entire life, and knows about the lore and myths hidden in the woods. All about the missing people, the whispers coming from the trees, mutilated animals, the works. They aren't terribly interested in it though, and overall ignores it. Or at least, they were ignoring it, until this summer rolled around and the legends wrapped Zeta up into it.
