- When his mother was pregnant with him she ate nothing but saber meat. Because he is part reaper, his nightmare side adapted to this change and gave him a more saber-like appearance and demeanor. His enlarged fangs are a product of that.

- He is incredibly strong-willed, making it nearly impossible to break his spirit. He is the kind of individual who will go down fighting. He will never bow to anyone, never bend to another's will, and will never willingly plead for anything.
