GentleHeart

She was a kittypet to an old lady, who unfortunately passed away. Then named Silver, she escaped the traps set to catch her and ventured outside properly for the first time. Eventually she’s discovered inside Thunderclan territory, and seeing she has no idea where she is or what to do, they invite her back to the camp to speak to Firestar. Subsequently, she becomes a member of the clan and goes about learning forest life - one of the things she learns of are the queens and the kits. Now named Gentleheart, she found herself longing to be a mother herself at the sight of it, but when she was a kit herself she was neutered. The clan cats soon learn of this, and it seems horrendous to them, which only deepens her sadness. She learns instead to be a nanny, helping the queens and acting as a caretaker when the queens want to go stretch their legs. Fast forward some months, she’s out hunting at night when she hears sharp mewling from a thunderpath. Unsure what the situation is, she goes to check it out. Two rogue kits are curled against their mother. Their mother had been hit by a monster, and barely managed to beg Gentleheart to take them safely, the kits barely had their eyes open. Gentleheart says a prayer to star clan for the mother as she passes seemingly immediately after, and takes the kits bit by bit away from the thunderpath. Ignoring the mewling for now, she digs a grave for the dead mother and wishes her journey to her star clan well. After returning to camp with the kittens, and explaining what happened, she feels an obligation to these kits. Though she cannot nurse them, she raises them like they were her own kin, and it’s the closest to motherhood she touches, and as bittersweet as it is, she finally feels like the mother she always wanted to be.
