✧How They Discovered Their SHSL/Ultimate: She comes from a long line of designers and seamstresses, so it was expected of her from day one! She was forced to practice everyday, but her real talent & passion was for making patterns and sewing plushies. Despite this she was forced to making clothing designs and still managed to excel at the sewing part! The designing she had to learn & still struggles with considerably, but she doesn’t show it. 

✧History: Misaki was born to her mother, Mei, when the woman was only 19. Because the mother was not married, and the man ran off, she was immediately hated by her grandmother, who saw her as an illegitimate child, and a stain on the family name. Hoping to save the family name, Misaki was forced from a young age to learn to sew, and design, learning nearly as soon as she learned to write. It was clear she excelled in sewing, to the grandmothers delight, but she fell short in the design area. The family lived in a semi-peaceful state, and Misaki was happy with the fact that her mother supported and loved her. From ages 6-9, Misaki practiced and learned, happy with her life until her mother fell ill. The mother struggled for about a year, until she ultimately passed away. Stricken with grief, she was unable to do any designs or even bring herself to sew. She’d sit at her desk every single day, staring in silence. After nearly half a year without a single finished product, the grandmother grew extremely enraged. One day she came in, yelled a bit, and slammed the child’s head into her desk... straight into her pincushions. The pins manages to stab directly into the child’s right eye, rendering it forever blind. She was rushed off to the hospital by a concerned help, but nothing could be done for her sight. The help ended up staying with her in the hospital, and from then on stayed close to the girl. She endured abuse for the girl often, but never quit out of fear for what would happen to Misaki. She only quit when Misaki went away to school.
