Saphir is a mix of a sylvan elf and bronze dragonborn. Though most dragonborn and their offspring (even the halflings) don't sport a tail or wings, sometimes the rare recessive trait comes through and one will have something special. This is the case with saphir, as he was born with a tail and a fine set of green tipped dragon horns sprouting from his head of pale gold elven hair and pointed ears.
His mother was a sylvan elf while his father was a bronze dragonborn. Saphir grew up not really knowing his father and his mother also was not much for raising a child, so he became a "village child", being raised here and there by the other families of the slyvan community he was born in until he was picked up by a passing group of mercs.
It was often said that Saphir's father was too stiff and had a hard time handling those around him (he and his party was stationed near the slyvan village) so he would become flustered and embarressed to anger quite easily, then quickly have said anger die down in shame. Saphir's mother liked to tease and bully him, being a bit too cavalier in her nature and finding this squirming dragonborn all too funny and facinating. One thing led to another and Saphir was eventually born. His father was there until Saphir was about four before his party was moved to a different station and he could no longer visit his son. He left him with a small memento; a dagger with a polished piece of malachite as its pommel.
He is a fighter, with druidic tendencies as a sub-class, as part of his elvish heritage.
