For a tsukumogami of a sword, he's awfully averse to fighting. Really, he'd rather not be asked to use his sword at all; training doesn't interest him either. Instead, he would much rather be painting outside, or maybe drinking tea and writing poetry. (Strangely, he doesn't seem to have any interest in poetry that's already been written.) Anything creative, he's willing to try at least once; the odds are good that he'll be good at it.

If you ask him, he will tell you he exists for the arts, nothing else; true to his word, he's as creative as they come. If he was more mischievous, that might make him dangerous; however, he has no interest in causing trouble, only doing something artistic. He's also a good listener; he doesn't usually try to give advice, not seeing it as his place. When he feels others' pain he tends to use it as inspiration if he doesn't have to act on it; this might seem insensitive, but his work tends to draw people in. That said, if you compliment anything he does he'll tell you that it could be much improved and may tell you exactly how he could improve it.

He is probably too focused on the arts; he'll put off anything to finish whatever work he's doing, even basic physical needs. Needless to say, this can lead to him shirking his responsibilities, or at least not trying very hard at whatever task he's been given. Disturbing him to get him to do what he was told to do is a terrible idea, too; he'll go off on you, at least as much as someone with a voice as soft as his can. He can be moody in general, but usually he shoves it down and uses it to fuel his work.
